A Message from the High Key (Volume 871 Issue 12)

Greetings.

Welcome to the latest edition of the Locksmith newsletter. We at last find ourselves in February, and with it, we once again battle with Gregorian calendar’s shortest, most annoying to spell month.

If you’ll allow the brief diversion, I’d like to reminisce briefly on my own attempt, during my youth’s folly, to create a calendar specifically for use within The Order of the Grand Lock. If we were to use that calendar, very loosely based on the Jacobin model, today would be the 15th day of the Month of the Cylinder Mark 9. Unless you’re reading this after sundown, in which case, you reverse the process, where available.

In this week’s issue, we take a look at some Grand Lock history that actually happened, unlike my efficient and easy-to-learn calendar. We also, unfortunately, are forced to make a few corrections regarding some rare unintentional misinformation.

In Fellowship,
The High Key (No.00103)
