A Message From the High Key (Vol 871, Iss 47)

Greetings.
Hello to all Locks,
It’s hard to believe we are already in the double digit months! Before long we begin the Hallow-Thanksgiv-ristma-ukkah-ewyears-actualnewyea parade into February. In these, the final moments before the holidays begin flying at our faces like so many tennis balls, let us reflect on a special moment I like to call: No Holiday Day.

On No Holiday Day we count our blessings and think about how great it is that we aren’t observing anything in particular that day. You don’t have to eat any kind of special meal because of a tradition: it just has to be mostly red to symbolize how we are “stopping” the tyrrany of holidays (for just a little while longer!). You also don’t have to get anyone any gifts. Just greeting cards. With cash in them.

This week we take a look at what happened on this Day in Grand Lock History. I’ll tell you what didn’t happen: a holiday of any kind (except No Holiday Day, which I’m realizing now, is sort of a holiday so I’m going to have to rethink this.)

In Fellowship,
High Key (No.00103)
